The House Bill 912 for $3.6 million died in the House Appropriation
and Finance Committee. This Bill would have set aside this money for Narconon's baby sister, Second Chance, in New Mexico's Albuquerque prisons.

This is good news, but remember:

Inevitably, some other program will pop up elsewhere, seeking to slurp up public money for fraudulent programs.

This is good news. I was concerned when I heard of this... the fact that tax payor dollars would be going to fund Narconon treatment! or a pseudo-Narconon facility. Whatever! Like I said earlier... if it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck... it's a duck. Not a program created by William Benitez... but Scietology created by L. Ron Hubbard... a damn science fiction writer!
