Title: Greg Beha and Narconon's sweet offer
Description: They want him to lie!

Xenubarb - January 24, 2007 03:54 PM (GMT)
This was posted to ARS. It's from Greg Beha

On January 11 Stone Hawk Attorney sent me a $16,000 settlement offer
with a gag order attached.
I sent the paperwork back refusing the $16,000 settlement and gag
order.

As far as the Gag Order I would like to quote some of the statements
they want me to agree to:

"agree to post a blog on the Internet that recants any negative
comments that I may have made regarding Narconon Stone Hawk and their
owners,"

"agree that we have worked together and settled the matter
amicably."

"agree there is no ill feelings between parties"

"agree that this matter is being handled fairly and mutually"

"agree to refrain from making any disparaging comments regarding
Narconon Stone Hawk."

Looking for my $23,500 refund

This is almost hard to believe, isn't it?

In exchange for half of the $23,000 Mr. Beha put out, he has to agree to this;
"agree to post a blog on the Internet that recants any negative
comments that I may have made regarding Narconon Stone Hawk and their
owners"

By all accounts, Mr. Beha's experience with Narconon has been nothing but negative! I heard him talk to Narconon representatives on the Vince Daniels show, and listened to them squirm and slither around to avoid making a promise they didn't mean to keep. They flat out refused to address it, and tried to divert attention by reciting by rote all the "good" they've done and all the people they "helped."

It didn't work, and Mr. Daniels continually circled back to the question, "Are you going to give Mr. Beha a refund?"

So now, they want him to start a weblog about how wonderful his experience with Narconon was? I imagine he wouldn't have much to say without resorting to lies. But lying is practically a Scientology sacrament. I doubt Carr would complain.

But wait, there's more!

"agree that we have worked together and settled the matter
amicably."

On the radio, Mr. Beha was firm, yet polite. Narconon rep Clark Carr was evasive, and seemed dishonest. Narconon continues to hold his money.
Amicable. Yeah. Suborning another lie?

"agree there is no ill feelings between parties"
As long as Narconon continues to stonewall, I would say there are plenty of ill feelings.

And now, my favorite:
"agree that this matter is being handled fairly and mutually"

Let's see...you lie for us and we'll give you half your money back, how's that sound? Such a deal!

And finally, "agree to refrain from making any disparaging comments regarding Narconon Stone Hawk."

'Nuff said.
