I don't even know where to start. I need help! About three months ago I put my brother in the Newport Beach, CA NARCONON Facility. After reading their program and hearing everything they had to offer, it seemed like a great choice for my 19 year-old Coke addicted brother. Everything seemed fine the first month and then shit hit the roof. I would call and ask how my brother was doing and all they would reply was “oh he is doing just fine”. I would call and ask for a report on his behavior. I never got that either. The “Ethics Counselor” said he forgot to do it. I didn’t pay $25,000 so they would forget to tell me how my brother was doing. I asked that my brother get medical attention and of course everything is peaches and cream and they tell you that he will be cured from his disease and that I will have a new person when he is done with the program. My family is frustrated and we don’t know what to do. We aren’t wealthy enough to spend another $25,000 to put him in another place. They are mistreating him and in fact they put him in a Halfway House for two weeks because he was on “Ethics”. What kind of crap is that?? In a nutshell I am noticing that this is a scam and I am part of it. I need help. Who ever has any information on Narconon Newport Beach or any Narconon, please help me fight them. Any information would help me out. Thanks.
I'd start at
http://stop-narconon.comThere's a section on Newport Beach Narconon, where you may find some good contacts.
You have every right to be upset. Narconon hires the x-addicts that went through the program, the ones who could have a good potential to become "Scientolgists". The ones who didn't ask questions. They are a joke. All are addicts ((who are clean)) that have no degree's, some have moral no ethics, they are all are underpaid and over worked, and are they are loyal to only the "Church of Scientology" From what I saw, none of them have any training what so ever but are brainwashed so much from the upper admisistrators into beliving that "Ron L Hubbard" saved their lives and they need to stay on and work and live at the site to gain knowledge. (Basically, to help recruit move victims so as to filter money into the "Church of Scientology".)
It really sucks that a place like this is able to operate still.
No one there is accountable for anything. If you are wanting answers, then you are a problem and they will avoid you at all costs as the less you know the better.
Notice how quickly your calls were returned before your brother went in? Before they had your money? If you paid, then they got what they want and further contact with you will be avoided, especially if you start asking questions. If a person is kicked out or suspended, it is usually because they are asking questions.
From my own personal experience and from what I have seen, Narconon has little to do with actually helping addicts and everything to do with filtering your money into the "Church of Scientology". They completely fabricated a suspension to get me out when I began questioning. I was told I was being kicked out for reading about Scientology on the internet. Now...really...why does a place based on scientology not want me reading about it? They block any web site not favorable to Narconons goal, which is with-out a doubt in my mind, to obtain funds to be donated to the "Church of Scientology"

Wow! Can't believe they kicked you out for researching Scientology! I mean everything that Scientology is... Narconon is. Everything from the course rooms, to the course supervisors, to the sauna, to the clay demos, to the books... EVERYTHING! I am so pissed that they keep getting away with lying to people saying that they are independent from the Church of Scientology. Maybe... MAYBE that is true on paper. But on paper only and only as a way to tell people that would otherwise be frightened and unsure about giving their money over to Scientology.
