This is from a deputy supervisor, writing to residents of Leona Valley. Sounds like it's over, folks. Narconon's bid to move here is toast. The cult would have to entirely redesign the whole valley road system, because the area is a watershed subject to flooding. Hip Hip Hooray!!! Now I can focus more on Stonehawk and the Wickstroms.
And I will start writing more about them, their fraudulent drug detox, and old Kate's Sugar Loaf resort fiasco. Reducing them to living out of shopping carts would be too generous.
"The Regional Planning Commission took the Narconon drug/alcohol rehab facility in Leona Valley "off calendar". This means it doesn't come back to RPC unless and until the applicant satisfies the requirements to provide information to several departments (Health, Fire, Public Works, and Regional Planning).
More from the planning dept:
"This item was continued to a date yet to be determined. They have yet to resolve the Fire Dept. access. I will schedule it and notice for a pubic hearing when they have resolved this issue. Minutes usually follow about a month after the hearing as they have to be approved by the PC. Contact XXXX at xxx-xxx-xxxx or xxxx@planning.lacounty.gov and he will send you a copy when they are available. I don’t think this will be back before the end of July and more likely September. Because we could not predict when they could resolve this issue the PC chose to notice a new hearing date."
And this:
"According to the Signal Newspaper, more went on at the Wednesday meeting than just continuing the NARCONON meeting to May 2. The News article seems to indicate that the NARCONON CUP is on hold for a while or until NARCONON comes up with additional information or data."
Read your post on Leona valley--but more interested in your continuing your investigating the stonehawk facility in battle creek.
My attorneys are checking into a refund and Channel 8 news here in grand rapids, mi are working on it.
